Hello, I am LowByteFox! I enjoy coding in C, mainly coding utilities that improve my daily life during work! I preffer minimalism and keep things simple. While I am fond of other programming languages like C++, Rust, Zig and others (Python, TypeScript, Java) I don't use them as often as I do use C. I like C for its minimal syntax, high performance and overall great developer experience that just needs practice. C is also highly portable programming language.

I am not your typical Windows, MacOS or Linux user, instead I currently daily drive OpenBSD. I went with OpenBSD for its simplicity, security and awesome developer experience I would never have on something like Linux. It may be a bummer that OpenBSD is kind of slow but it isn't something I can't live with. Also if I had to go with Linux, I would chose Alpine Linux as it's kind of similar.

When it comes to coding editor, I preffer Neovim - it's small, fast and easily extensible with lua. As I said earlier, I like things simple, so I don't use any plugin manager and instead extend neovim myself.

My desktop workflow consists of DWM, st, Firefox and GIMP. I use default dark Adwaita theme, and Adwaita icons.

I am currently running OpenBSDs korn shell (ksh), still haven't released my dotfiles , I am working on it! I promise!

My go-to git server used to be Github, but nowadays it is Codeberg, I always sign my commits, sadly recently I have lost my old GPG keypair, so I made a new one! I sometimes stream on Twitch. I would like to migrate over to Mastodon but X (Twitter) is still what I use to this day.
